Affordable Housing; a housing buzz word and design catch phrase of the last two (or so) decades.  The reality is, remaining are uncountable people for which "affordable housing" is not.  These folks are those who:

  • thru little or no fault of their own have been      left homeless
  • have full time employment that will not      support a customary "affordable home"      mortgage
  • Suffer or have suffered intolerable domestic      situations
  • Cannot afford regional apartment rates for      more than substandard quarter
  • Natural Catastrophe victims
  • Are homeless

For these people, present solutions seem only to exacerbate their plight, trying to get by, but not quite able to.  And each month the hole gets a little deeper, more stressful... Life shouldn't be that way, it doesn't have to be.

Villas Construction wants to change the way "Affordable Housing" is done!

House payment and all utilities under $500.00 per month?  Unbelievable?   Perhaps until now.  Villas Construction can provide homes, though small; fully functional and comfortable.  These are not Modular homes.  They are framed structures, Standard GWB finishes, all appliances, on a concrete or Pier and beam foundation, and are built (and can be set and anchored) to TDI Windstorm specifications.

Homes designed for 1-4 persons, including a floor plan or two for couples, even with 1-2 small children!

  • Perfect for persons with low or fixed incomes,
  • Perfect for "minimalists",
  • Perfect for those who for whatever reason must        get a new, fresh start,
  • Perfect for those who have suffered a calamity or       catatsrophe, leaving their original home       uninhabitable.
  • Perfect for requirements of emergency housing;       lots of homes FAST!

Tight space, limited land space?
The options and benefits Villa's Homes provides are obvious. At 20-25 per acre (estimated) infrastructure and development costs are spread across more units. Most homes are designed to fit nicely on a 1250 SF lot (or less), landscaping can be planned for low maintenance or maintenance free. Villa's Homes can be grouped in small developments to promote safety, security, and a sense of community. Larger developments may encompass mixed-use areas; life's necessities could be s short walk down the block.

High Utility Bills?
Not in Villas Homes! All homes will be insulated in accordance with 2006 International Energy Codes, with building components being carefully selected and installed for energy efficiency.

$$$ The Cost $$$
The cost of these homes will range from $20K to $40K, which will include the foundation, but not development fees such as water/sewer tie-ins, clearing, survey, platting and other related costs. Cook top, microwave, exhaust hood, and refrigerator are included. Extras can include anything found in larger homes, including a garbage disposal, stacked or separate washer/dryers and ranges. Standard appointments are FHA approved, upgrades are available (at added cost): Up-graded Cabinets, Countertops, floors, appliances, windows; any upgrade that is available can be added to your eco-home, including very "tight", "green", building materials and methods.
Villas Construction can produce... quickly!

Villas can be built quickly, either singly, or in groups, large or small. Typically, the time for construction of one of these homes once the pad is prepared is 10 days, making this application specifically appropriate for disaster/emergency situations, either for agencies responsible (such as FEMA), or for extended emergency living situations.
